I've now decided that I'm taking a break from the world. I'm going OFFLINE!! I'm turning my phone off. Not going on Facebook. Not going on MSN, and not blogging. Vacations have to come to an end so I'll be back on Monday. This trip to Toronto is going to be an awesome get away for myself. I deserve a holiday as much as the next person right? So I'm taking it. Your all amazing.
In the words of a wise man I disliked, but earned a new respect for;
Stay Golden!

How long has it been? Far too long is what really matters here!
So it's been so long since I've posted, and boy things have changed. I don't even know where t begin! SOOO MUCH has gone down since the last post. So as you all know, the blog is Titled "Life of a Computer Systems Technology Student" Well, that's not so true anymore. This is my official notice of amendment to the title. It shall simply be: "Nathan Labatt. Inside and Out!".
To expand on the title change, I was not to recently kicked out of school. Along with, to my knowledge, half a dozen other people! I'm slowly turning to the notion that CST is more of a money grab then an educational program, and if anybody would like to comment on that, please do. I'd love to hear it. The name of the program does not fully give the definition of what the program truly is. After being in the program I would not recommend it to anyone that actually wants to learn about Computers. I also will not be attending the course to finish after my discontinuation period has expired. CST is a sham, and I welcome anyone that would like to challenge that statement.
On another note, I'm back into society, I'm back into working, I'm back into the outdoors. Landscaping is in full swing and work couldn't be better. Absolutely gorgeous to be back outside. I'm happy I moved back to Regina as soon as I did. Things are amazing. Well almost everything. . .
I met someone recently. And I've spent an absolutely amazing time with this kid. I have huge respect for him and I love him more then anything in the world. Even more than singing. And for those of you who know me, know that means something! :P But I just don't know what to do anymore. Indecision and floofy-ness is driving me CRAZY!
I'm going hiking this weekend. So excited to be in Yorkton again for the first time in a long time. Then the next weekend I'm getting sent to Toronto for Scouts! EEEE. First flight ever. So excited. Direct flight, none of this layover crap until the way back :( I get to go to Calgary though! :) Haha. Today I went for lunch with two of my Besties. I LOVE those two ladies more then life itself. They are AMAZING, just sayin. Got to rant about my shitty-ass ex-roommates. Was a good time! ANYWAY,
I'm in a big show that's coming up at the end of May. It runs for 4 nights, and it's a lot of work. 2 hours of entertainment, I'm in pretty much all of it :P CAN'T WAIT, however. I've gotta run off and do some more practicing. YaY for Bass Playing and Singing!!!

Easter Long Weekend. YAY!
So this past weekend was the annual Easter weekend :P Most people around the world observe the crucifixion of Jesus. And I was one of them. I had the privilige of helping out at St. Pete's back home in Regina. They had a FastAThon and after it, they acted out The Passion of the Christ, for the congregation at the Good Friday mass. IT was fun, we hung out all night played some pool, Twister, Quelf. Played some crazy scavenger hunt thing(Not trying to brag, but my team won!)! Then the next morning we went on down to downtown Regina to follow teh stations of the cross through the city. A fun event with lots of people, singing, cross carrying, and crazy old men in the park calling us all Nazi's! I LOL'ed when I heard it :P!
I finally got to meet up with my old friend Megan at Tim Hortons late Friday evening. While there we had our much needed conversations and some good old rant time. Oh Tim Hortons how I love thee, for sheltering us in our time of need :) Amidst the rants and stories, another friend of our's came along and we met a couple new people. Melissa and Shawn showed up, and they had two friends with them, who are Crazy, but cool. Not to mention the one boy looked much better as a baby (Lol, you know what I'm talkin about). One of my very distant relatives Ariel was there, and she was with our mutual friend Kent, and so I did my best to stop and annoy them for a few minutes :P THEY ENJOYED IT!
Oh my goodness! Saturday night was AWESOME. I got to meet a bunch of stellar people. I hung out with my brother's girlfriend and her friends for a little bit. Went to Desi's house and partied like a rockstar there. We then moved over to the Gaslight Saloon. The biker bar in REgina, and what a cool place. IT's super neat inside, and the music was loud, the place was overall awesome. What a good time, I then bumped into my own friends when we got to O'Hanlons, and an old work buddy. We ended up going dancing at O'Hans and it was a blast!
Sunday rolled around, I headed off to church in the morning to sing and work the soundboard. We rocked This Little Light Of Mine at the end of mass and had everybody in the church dancing and singing, and clapping along with the beat. It was a good time. After our lunch, I lounged around at home all day, there was a few people there, being such a nice day. Had some chats, then for supper I had family over again, and my brother cooked lamb. Meh, it was okay I guess, but I'll stick to beef I think. Then that night, I was invited over by a couple different people. Amanda's for a movie, and Arron's for a movie. By the way, 'Strangers with Candy' is hilarious! It was an okay night, but it ended up getting better. I got my proojector all set up in my room, and it was calling for usage :P Arron came over to my house this time, and we watched Precious on the very large screen. We had a sleepover that night, and then I took him home early in the morning, I had work to do.
I was out looking at vehicles trying to find an engine and tranny for my car. Hopefully get it fixed. Well, it seems like there was no luck, perhaps I'll have to try up here in Saskatoon. MY car is not working, my Parents car is not working. I need to find some junk yard parts for it too! I was almost so sick of cars by that point, I was looking at buying a bike. They had a couple at SGI that were up for bids. The weekend came to an end back in Saskatoon chilling in my house. I've got another roommate now. We sleep in the same room, as I offered some space to him. It's pretty cool. Last night it was like 12:15 ish and there was 5 people in our livingroom. And one roommate in bed already. It was nice to hang out and talk to someone. It's like perma-party up in there now! I'm stoked.
The weather has been bloody amazing. I've got my sunglasses, and my flippy floppy's on. If I was on a boat, life would be complete :P LOLOLOLOL! Anyway, I've got a day I should be paying more attention too. Last psot was a week ago. TOO LONG AGO! I'll try and step it up, Yo!

Weekend fun
So last week was a good time. HOWEVER it was followed by a weekend! EEeee! This weekend I got ot go home to Regina for a couple of exciting events. It was soo much fun. Friday night, I watched a movie with Mom and Dad. We watched 'Precious', and it was super good. After that I decided to head to bed after checking my emails, so I could get a good sleep for the next day, it was going to be a long one.
I woke up. A little later then I had wanted to, but I still got up! IT WAS SCOUTING TIME! I headed on down to Victoria Park in the heart of Regina. There was a scout event taking place today, and it was a fun one. I participated in it about 5 years ago when it started and my teammate and I won! Anyway, The Amazing Ad-Venturer Race. Have you seen the amazing race? Pretty much the same deal. Groups of 2 people, get a 'Passport' it contains 8 clues that you must decypher. You also get a map of the city bus system, and a full day bus pass. You are given all day to figure otu the clues, head to the appropriate location, complete the activity at the stop, and acquire an envelope that contains a clue you need to figure out the Final clue, ocne you return to the HQ. It makes for an exciting adventure that requires scouting skills, team work, and some quick thinking.
So the scout event was followed by a vocal workshop. I help out at a church in Regina that puts on a show every year in May, and I help out and participate in the show. This year we are doing a lovely Temptations number, with singing, and dancing. We had a little get together to teach Nathan the choreography because he lives far away :P It was super good, and so much fun. Can't wait for the show in May. Tickets anybody?
AND ON TOP OF THAT, the vening followed with a get together at my house in support of Earth Hour! I invited people to come over to my house and hang out in the dark for a while. We lit candles and had glowsticks glowing. The drinks were pouring, the fire was crackling, and the fun was never ending. Even my older brother who said he wasn't participating came out of his cellar bedroom with a candle and was hanging out with us around the fire. He probably thinks all my friends are nuts, but who cares! We had soo much fun, but alas that night had to come to an end. Sunday followed. I took my bass with me on down to the Cathedral for a World Youth Day Meeting. I'll be travelling to Spain in August 2011, to participate in World Youth Day. It's bound to be a good time. We played some songs, and played some games. Found out I will be acquiring a Projector. No more watching these small movies on the TV. Haha, I'm super pumped!
Home again, and back at classes. Short week this time around. Easter is coming up, and you know what that means. GOOD FOOD AND LOTS OF IT!@ The whole family is coming over to my parents place for some goooood eatin. I hope the weather is nice! It should be! :D
Nothing too exciting for now.

Earth Hour FTW!
So I'm a fan of all the new movements. Free Hugs Campaign, To Write Love On Her Arms, Earth Hour!
Earth Hour this year is March 27th, you can check an earlier post to see more information about it! I've made Facebook events to get people in Saskatchewan involved. And it's working. I've received messages from all over. Today, CBC Saskatoon contacted me. They had a few questions for me on the phone and they want to do a little interview tomorrow morning. I'm rather excited. I get to speak up about something I believe in, and hopefully reach other people. CBC will be coming to interview me at SIAST at 10AM Friday the 26th.
This is just another shout out to Earth Hour. MARCH 27TH, 2010. 8:30PM TO 9:30PM. TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS FOR ONE HOUR FOR EARTH.
And on another note. Karaoke last night, won ANOTHER MARTINI PARTY! Got to meet a bunch of AMAZING people. And hung out with none other then DJ HottBoxxx for a while. AMAZING LADY LET ME TELL YOU!

Linked List FML?
So I had a crazy fun weekend this past one! Friday I went with Sean and Josh, to a drag show, and I got to meet a couple people I'd been talking to online. I was driving so I didn't drink, but I still went and had a blast dancing and singing along with the Queens :P They had a couple new people up there this weekend as well. I think everyone did a superb job!
Saturday, I had this fancy banquet to attend with the Leuitenant Govervor of Saskatchewan! I got to hand out awards, take some pictures, and eat some AMAZING food. I then played around in the Western Development Museum for a little while. I saw the most amazing 1959 Cadillac, I almost stole it! Huge fins out the back, and the first ever bullet style taillights. Gorgeous looking vehicle! After that, I went to go visit Josh again for a bit. We played Wii, and I'd like to say I beat him, but I'd be a liar. I'm terrible at Wii Mario Kart. It was fun :) Theeen, went to Matt's with Sean, Kayla, and Tisha, for pre-drinking. And there was a fair amount of that happening :P We all got in Sean's little car and took a trip on down to Diva's in downtown Saskatoon! I got to say hi to a few more people I've been talking to(/LOVES MEETING NEW PEOPLE). Had a few drinks(YaY!), and danced the night away!
Sunday followed, my parents came up from Regina. I've decided to give up half of my bedroom to a friend who needs a place to stay for the last two months of school. And so I sent a bunch of stuff back home with my parents, and I'm slowly going to be taking more stuff in the car when I go home on weekends. They bought me some food and some other things, and helped me clean and re-arrange my room. The evening came around and I had another Rover meeting to go to. It was good, and informative. I got to see a couple people I haven't seen in a while, and it made me realize just how much I miss them :P Then after that, I went with Sean over to Keith's. Holy Moly he lives far away, and we watched some cracked out drug movie. Pretty sure it was Quentin Tarantino, he makes wierd fricken movies, right?
Monday came around and boy that was a long one. Nothing really exciting happened. ASIDE from watching Undercover Brother with Bryan. And then going to teh carwash with Him and Kristen! Who I then went to Broadway Roastery on 8th, with. We had some delicious drinks, not to mention the super tasty chocolate whip! I saw someone there that I recognized! Eeeee! Was supposed to have someone to hang out with, but that kind of fell through. So I went to bed a little earlier then usual. Even still, waking up was hard this morning. Cold is wearing off, I've been taking Tylenol religiously! Today is going by slowly, but it usually gets better after class. So we'll see how things go a little later today. Hopefully a little bit better then yesterday!

Martini Party for 4?!
Soo, I always say I like singing, and I don't mind doing it in a Big group. I've sang infront of a sold out Center of the Arts (Regina version of TCU Place), with a small group of people, and that was okay.
Do you think I could get myself to sing karaoke to 30 or so people in a bar? I didn't want to sing even one song. Paranoid much? I finally was convinced to sing a song. I Wanna Dance With Somebody - Whitney Houston. Aaand, it WAS A BLAST! I had soo much fun. So, had another drink, well lets get up there and do another song! 9 to 5 - Dolly Parton. I was having SOO much fun! I was getting more and more familiar with the people in the bar, and there was even a couple really cute people there. One in particular though, kind of stood out among the rest. :)
ANYWAY! I kept going. California Dreamin' - Mamma's and the Papa's. Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under - Shania Twain. Talk about crowd response. My friend watching said I had the best crowd response. Making me feel good? I think so! There was people up dancing and having a blast! But It was about time to go, I had school at 8AM, it was getting on midnight. I had a guy come up to me; Who did an amazing Muppets Rendition of Summer Nights - Grease, and he wanted to do a song with me. Angel - Shaggy. I coudn't remember the song, until the music started playing, and then it was all good! I had a blast. I don't want to be the new bar star, but if it means I can sing and entertain other people, I'd love to.
I ended up winning a Martini Party for 4 people! I'm pretty excited. And all sorts of bar swag.
I'm not complaining.
SO this person I mentioned earlier, I also got a name and number from them. I'm pretty excited. I'm pretty sure I'd like to get to know 'em!

P.S. !!!One of my teachers commented on my new shoes today. He wants to see them seeing as he's heard all about them on Facebook! Do you think it's possible that perhaps the teachers of CST are reading LOA-CST-S?? Comment and let me know!!

Neon Dance Party Photoshoot Shopping Weekend?!
This past weekend was a pretty sweet time. Friday night we had our Neon Dance Party. Peeps came over abnout 9:30 and we partied until about 3AM. Some Rockband and 80's tunes, it was a pretty good time. GLOW STICKS they were a must have thing there. HOWEVER I'm a little upset with people. IT SAID DRESS UP! Nobody DID! Aside from like 3 people. I know I was decked out in Neon colors.
Anyway, woke up the next day at about... the afternoon :P It was a good day, got to catch up on all my internet crap. And do some cleaning to get ready for Saturday night! So, a few people came over again to pre-drink before we went out to Diva's for a sweet dance party. It was a good time playing Rockband and drinking heavily. So we partied again at my place until about 11:30 - 11:45, then hopped in the car and headed down to Diva's in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. I tell you, it was a Blast! It was pretty busy there Saturday night. Lots of people dancing and hanging out. There is always a lot to look at while your there, I can telly ou that much.
We drank, and danced, and drank, and danced, it was SUCH a good time. LOVE all the amazing people I spent the night with!
Again that was another late night for myself and the people I was with. BUT IT WAS GOOD! So Sunday came around. I had plans with the Lovely Miss Kendra. IT WAS GORGEOUS! We cruised downtown with clothes and a camera in hand. I found my self in some stupid places. The railing of a train bridge, the side of a retaining wall, the roof of a gazebo, a tree. And in a handful of outfits too! It was an awesome time. IT WAS GORGEOUS OUTSIDE! We went all over downtown to the university and the river, and the wier. WE then took a drive over to Broadway where we got some Booster Juice and went for another walk! Did I mention IT WAS GORGEOUS OUT! We went into Divine. They sell Converse.
So I bought some. A pair of lime green high tops. LOVE THEM! Not to mention the guy working there was kind of cute. And Kendra and I loved there lovely Staff Boat they had on the wall! Lol. Such an amazing time. I Love hanging out with Kendra, and I even got some pictures taken. It was a good time. She's an amazing picture taker and I can't begin to thank her enough. Bed time rolled around, I slept, I woke up, I came to school. Same as every other day. Here goes another week long adventure!

Ode to a Fallen Comrade
Today was a sad day as I walked through the halls of SIAST Kelsey Campus in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I thought it was such a beautiful day* as I was walking into the building. It started going downhill as I entered SIAST and the guys having a smoke had to start talking about me before I got in the door**. Then as I walked up the stairs and down the hall, I saw Owen walking towards me. "Today's the day! I'm dropping CST."***
*I have to park a couple blocks away from my school, as I don't get up early enough to park close, and I don't have a parking pass for the student parking lot. I don't mind though, it's good for me to walk a couple blocks everyday considering I sit on a computer for 6 hours a day, and that's only at school! I have been fortunate enough to be able to walk to school at 7:45AM WITHOUT a jacket! Today I'm simply wearing a T-shirt and a sweater. I love that I live in Saskatchewan; the weather here is always SO screwed up! :P
**So the jerks outside at SIAST. I'm not sure what it is about people in today's society, you'd think they would grow up and get over stupid fucking stereotypes. I'm a boy. I wear skinny jeans. Actually, my clothes are almost all very tight fitting. THAT DOESN'T MAKE ME A 'FAG'. There are tons of guys that dress the same way I do, some even more so flamboyantly. Doesn't make them gay either. Okay, I'll give them a break because I AM gay, so they are on the right track, but they don't know me. They don't know anything about me. They don't know who I like, or what I like! What gives them the right to fucking judge me by the clothes I wear! The worst part is, they can't even say it to my face. If you have an issue with something about me, JUST FUCKING TELL ME! I can handle it. I'm pretty chill; you'd know that if you would actually talk TO me instead of talking ABOUT me!
***My friend Owen, who has been thinking about it for a long time, has finally decided to drop out of CST today. After being in it, he's learned that it's not what he was looking for. And I understand and totally support his decision, I mean, he knows best for himself. But I'm going to miss him. I got the privilege of working with him for the first semester. It's how we met, and I'm SUPER glad it happened. For all the people who didn't get to know him in CST, you should have! He's not the first however. CST year 1 is thinning a little. We've lost a couple comrades in our battle. It is sad to see them go, but personally, they won't be forgotten. I learned a lot from the people I've met in CST. These are friends I don't plan to forget.
This goes for all of the amazing people in my life. I love you all. I like people too easily sometimes, but I prefer it that way. There isn't anybody I know that I dislike. If you've been brought into my life, there is a reason for it, and I wouldn't want to miss any chance for friendship I get!

Being involved with Scouts for soo long I have acquired friends from all over Southern Saskatchewan! It's pretty awesome. I like hanging out with them. Through out college I've made more friends that I fricken LOVE hanging out with! I'm currently in ASSINIBOIA partying with Owen Laroque, Brett Stenerson, and Kris Booth! It's pretty cool. I met a couple new peeps (Kate?, Selina, and friend)that are fucking epic. Such a good time.
My tuesdays are probably the best days ever! Of all the days in the week. Tuesdays are the best. The coolest crap goes down on Tuesdays. Good eats, good company, good music, good night. I'm a huge fa of meeting new people. And today I got to meet a couple. I hope that there is a lot more chilling with these peeps. All those who didn't come to Assiniboia, that could have/were invited to. Y'all should be jealous!!! Anyway. Tonight I think is a total write off. If I remember it. It'll be AWESOME!
SWEET PARTYING! Can't wait to get back to Saskatoon. You all are invited!!

GOOOLDD!
CANADA!!!
And so it came to pass. It's been a long time since I've posted and I would like to do that NOW!
School this past week has been horried. Midterms all over the place, and big assignments. It's over now. And I get my spring break. Which I will remember to mention is STUPID! I'm like one of the only people, that has spring break in March, IN THE WORLD!
So I got to chill with some pretty sweet peeps Friday night at a Scouts event in Saskatoon. It was a pretty good time. I miss doing some of that stuff! And on another note.
OLYMPIC RECORD!!
Go Canada! Most Gold Medals By The Host Team. Not to mention Most Gold Medals! We pretty much rock. We didn't necessarily own the podium. However, We Owned The GOLD PODIUM!! I'm proud to be a Canadian. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world!! It actually makes me tear up, seeing these Olympic games. A time when everyone can come together, Unified as one. Set aside differences, and show the world what it truly means to Be Canadian!!!
Today is a day to be celebrated, not by just a few, but by Everyone!

I'd like to share a rendition of 'Oh Canada!' by Bret Nestor
Oh Canada!
Our home ice advantage!
Black rubber pucks all in Luongo's hand.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North finished strong with three!
From far and wide,
Crosby shooots, and Beats USA's goalie.
God keep our land victorious and free!
Oh Canada, they had two we had three.
Oh Canada, Luongo stands on guard for thee!

Sooo, it's been a little while!
I had a pretty sweet weekend. Friday I went out with a couple friends and we went to Boston Pizza and Pacific Avenue Pool. It was super fun, had a few ceasers, ate some food. Hung out with the coolest peeps I know. Pretty much full of win.
Saturday was epic! I cleaned my room. And by cleaned, I mean CLEANed. Spotless, top to bottom clean. I was pretty proud of myself when I saw how spotless it was getting. After that I moved onto the bathroom. HELLO BLEACH! XD And then that night.
KARAOKE! Oh my God! Bryan and I converted our living room into a karaoke/open mic bar. It was soo much fun. We sang all night, even recorded some of our own videos. I'll get a link up to them in a comment later today.
Sunday was also pretty good. Watched some Olympics(Yay Canada), had some good eats. MMm Bacon. And then later I went to church and sat with Lynn! Not going to lie, I love going to sing at church. The group that sings at the 7PM Mass at Holy Spirit is quite an exceptional group of singers and musicians. All in all it was a pretty good weekend.
However! I got to school this morning right at the stroke of 8AM, with my coffee in hand. I walk into the room, and what could be better than writing a STUPID HTML MIDTERM at 8AM? Well I just don't know. I forgot to study, to be honest, I forgot entirely that we were having a midterm. I was pretty upset. Believe me! I'm not looking forward to this week. A fairly large couple of assignments are due, as well as a Java midterm. So I guess we'll see how this week goes. I thought it was going to be good. But after this morning, my whole image of it, has been thrown off.

So today was a day. This morning started off real good. I woke uup and went to school, got a coffee on the way this morning. The morning was all right. Java came and went, and big surprise another huge assignment was assigned. Database. Oh How I still loathe thee Database. Two hours of that came and went. Forms I at least understand Normalization....... I still don't know what the hell the purpose of that is! Lunch time was good. Haha I can't get the image of Johnny rubbing his nipples out of my head though! There were a couple good LOL's at lunch today. Then back to class. Ugh, Systems Analysis. I dread that class too. But I do get to draw now and then so not all bad I guess.
So the day kind of sucked. IT AIN'T DONE! Then comes the Statistics Midterm with Raining Zang! I burst out laughing when I read the first question. All I could hear was FONEEPADAKWADA! YOUFEEPIT! I made sure other people around me knew what I was laughing at, not that I'm just strung out or anything.
Very soon after this exam I went back to the shopping mall. I looked at all the pretty clothes, and browsed Le Chateau much more closely than I have in a long time. Such pretty attire in that store.
Afterwards I went home to find out my other roommate is back from break. I had gotten an invite VIA email today, to go over to a friends house and hang out, have a few drinks. Then from there head out to the pool hall for some Billiards! (PS I'm brutal at that game). Then after Billiards, they want to do 'Something'. Well I'd really like to know what 'Something!' is because curiousty is my WORST enemy! I didn't know if I really wanted to go out or just hang out at home. But because of certain circumstances I have decided to not stay at home and sulk. So I left!
Came up to the hospital again to visit Brett. Brought him some chips. Keeping company. Can't imagine what it must be like to have to lay here day after day. I'd go just crazy. Other people talking. Crazy old ladies all up in the nurses grill cause they are all hoped up on drugs. She's kind of like, really annoying to be honest. The other two are pretty quiet. Either sleeping or listening to music. As I sit and chill with Brett in his corner of the room. Not too much conversation here. But perhaps not necessary, I know I just like having someone else around. Being alone sucks, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way right now :P
I could sit here for hours with a computer on my lap. I don't mind. It's a nice change to get out of the house.
I LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW AND WHAT DID I SEE?!?!?? Not a lot because there is a bunch of NASTY WHITE CRAP FALLING FROM THE FREAKING SKY! Please stop and just get nice out already, I want summer!

Karaoke Dance Pool Party Anybody?!
Soo, my roommate and I are super cool and were listening to music last night. My friend told me I should learn 'The Climb" by Miley Cyrus, so on my PC I had brought up a karaoke version of it on Youtube. Well, I usually dual monitor with my TV at home, so I had it up on the big screen. After (Attempting) singing the song a couple times, I realized.
OH HEY!
I can plug my good ole Rockband microphone into my computer and run it through the speakers...
HELLO KARAOKE!!
Sure it's the poor mans karaoke, but Bryan and I jammed out to a couple songs,(He doesn't sing however), and then decided. We NEED to have a sweet karaoke party! I love themed parties, and what could be any better then karaoke! Youtube has an almost infinite number of karaoke version songs for the karaoke enthusiast. Perhaps this karaoke idea will have to get added into the pool/Hawaii/beach/surf/whatever else/Karaoke party!! I think it would be a blast. As long as other people are willing to give it a try!!
Short form. Karaoke == good. Kind of a programming lol there for anyone that notices the double equals.
Soo, I figured I should start adding in some of these little school related tidbits, because I've had a complaint that, the posts added to this blog do not stick to the title of the blog. And in all fairness, it's a 'Life of' blog andmy life does not strictly revolve around computers.... My life does not strictly revolve around CST(school).
CST has a new policy regarding tardiness in class. If your late for class you can't go into the classroom until the break, so as not to disturb the class in progress. Okay I understand that, but after paying $5000 to take this course, I expect to be allowed into my classes. So I've been sitting in the hallway, chilling with a bunch of people because I'm not the only one refusing to go into class. YAY! I'm pretty proud of my rebelliousness!!

WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN!!!
For all you losers who have the need to say "Just make it positive" You all can go DIAF. For those of you who don't know what that means... DIE IN A FIRE! A True CST Post. I have a big Java program due tomorrow! AAAAANNNDD Be damned if we could make it work properly. It seems pretty easy. Turn a couple Vector's into Arrays. PIECE OF CAKE. Ya well the cake is still a lie. (LOL)!
Today was a pretty good day! I had coffee in the morning, I was on time for class. I stayed awake the whole frickin day! Ashley came over today to work on Java together and well, we got quite a bit done, but there is still some issues with the program. Like the exception mentioned earlier. Rage.
So funny story! We have this lovely fish tank that hangs out in the living-room. Today Bryan noticed something stuck on it today. He's either hung like a horse(Literally), and he's only as long as my middle finger. OR. It's shitting out it's intestines! I really hope it can flush itself down the toilet because I'm not even going to touch it with the net. I LOL'ed!
BUT ITS WAY PAST MY BEDTIME. So for another day.

ACTUAL Life of a Computer Systems Technology student!
So I never really thought about it, but the name of the blog is about me being a student and I have yet to post ANYTHING about being a student! So, I figured I’d send a post from school. :P
I’m sitting in Database right now, and man does this suck. One of the most important classes in the program and I don’t understand it. They give us this big assignment and I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. For anyone that knows what Normalization is, I hate it. It would seem I’m the only person that is able to go from First Normal Form (1NF) to 3NF without putting the database into 2NF first! I’m glad we don’t go any farther than 3NF cause I don’t think I would be able to even be in this program.
Java is not my most favourite pastime either. (See I told you I had lots to complain about!). They give us massive assignments to do in not a whole lot of time. Sure it might be easy for the instructors but us learners are not having the best time with it! Anyway, I like most of the other classes. They are pretty fun and the peeps are hella cool. I thought I was going to be going to School with a bunch of computer geeks, but I have been proven wrong. Pretty sure they be some of the coolest peeps I know! We all seem to love partying! Which takes me to the Sweet Pool/Hawaii/Surf/Beach Party we’re gonna have! My roommates girlfriend and I are planning a pretty sweet Shindig. Kristen has some pretty stellar decorations and ideas. I can’t wait!
What would college life be like without having the odd party now and then! I think it’s about time I should pay attention in class. (Yeah Right!) I know a blog shouldn't be a life story like this is turning into. But hey, It's my Twitter! Randomly shouting into the darkness hoping someone is listening. LMAO.

Power to Post - I Knight thee in the name of LOA-CST-S
So I finally got down to the Royal University Hospital to visit Brett. I made a point of going down yesterday when I got back to Saskatoon like I said I would.
Oh my Goodness! I can't imagine how crappy his days must have been/will be. He's been there for 13 days, and by the looks of things another 13 to go. He is in a room with 3 other people, most of them are come and go, he has been there the longest of the people that are there. In his little section of his room, hardly the size of a bedroom he's got very little! He spends most of his time in his bed, having some trouble walking from not doing it for so long.
HOWEVER! He's got his laptop, and his cell, and well, from what I saw, a lot of junk food! :P He's stealing internet from the nearby University. So he can chat on MSN and stay updated on Facebook. So I suppose that's not so bad. I want to go visit again soon, to give him some company! I'll take my laptop, we can do some homework, or.. not. Hang out.
Now if I'm not stupid, I think I can give the ability to allow other people to post on this blog. And well considering he has some stuff to say, and some time to do it, and he's ALSO a CST student, I'm gonna give him the Power to Post!

Single's Awareness Day How I Loathe Thee!
TWO IN ONE DAY I'M ON A ROLL!!!
So I truly hate this 'special day'! This year it made me realize just how good I have things and just how terrible I really am as a person! I'll go in order.
My dear old Grandmother. Grandma Labatt is in her mid 90's. She is getting up there. She moved into a new home just a couple days ago, and Dad wanted me to go visit her while I was here. Which I do pretty well any weekend I'm in Regina! So, my sister and I loaded into my car and went to go visit her. Well we got there and we were chatting, and well..... She didn't know who I was. I mentioned I'm in Regina this weekend from Saskatoon and so she asked "Well do you ever see Nathan up there?" And then my sister and I continued to explain and convince her that I AM Nathan.
It sucks. I know she loves me with all her heart, and I know she feels bad for not recognizing me, but each time I see her, she just keeps getting worse and worse I think. Old age is catching up to her, and well it breaks my heart to see such a sweet caring old lady wither away. I love her more then anything in the world, and I fear I won't have her for much longer.
And then, on top of the sad feelings my grandmother bestowed upon me, I realized something awful.
My super good friend Brett has been in a hospital in a strange town by himself for many days now, and, well I told him once a while ago I'd come visit him and I still haven't. And to be honest I feel TERRIBLE! I've made arrangments to get back to Saskatoon so I can spend a couple hours keeping him company.I'm deathly afriad of hospitals(Ironic eh?), but I'll suck it up for my buddy!

Valentines Day?
Well, if it isn't Happy Singles Awareness Day AGAIN!
Just yesterday two of my closest High School friends got married at the ripe age of 19! Been a while since people got married that young :P BUT I'M SURE THEY CAN WEATHER ANY CHALLENGE! I love them both TONS.
On another note. We partied. And then we went to O'Hanlons in Regina! AND PARTIED MORE! I suck at dancing let me tell you, but I danced my legs off! I don't know how many hours we were groovin' but it was many. Which segways into my next note! I LOVE singing. For those of you who know me, you know.
I am part of a fairly large three night, two hour performance we like to call "Variety Night". And we sing and dance all the time during it. I get to be part of a temptations song, and when I learned that we get to dance like the temptations in purple suits with white pants, I was OVERJOYED~! Gold chains and E'erything! Youtube "Temptations - Ain't Too Proud To Beg" and WATCH IT! It's what were doin! Almost the same dance and all. I've got probably another 24 hours in Regina before I go home to Saskatoon. Let's see if I can PARTY SOME MORE!!!!!

One Thought At A Time
HOKAY!
So today I finally get to travel from Saskatoon, back home to Regina again. Trust me, I'm SUPER pumped to go. So I get my camera all ready to go. I get to ride passenger this time cause I'm carpooling with a pretty cool cat named Matt. I figure I'll take some pictures have some fun and find some sweet pics to add to my blog.
NOT! It was SO lame! Saskatchewan is SO boring to drive through. Oh hey look it's a giant flat white nothingness stretching on to the horizon.
OH HEY LOOK. . . . .
another one.
I'm glad the music was Awesome! Thank you to Matt for bringing back my childhood memories! I sang and danced ALL the way home. 2.5 hours of AWESOME!
Anyway, we made it back to Regina safe and sound, only to leave the most important stuff I brought in MAtt's car so it could go traveling BACK across the CITY!! I'm excited for tomorrow. I get to drive my car, and go to a wedding, and sing some more, and hang out, and hopefully PARTY!

Start? I'M A BLOG NOOB!
That's right I've been into computers for many years and now I go to school for them. But for some STRANGE reason I've never had a blog?!
Well as my classmates seem to think I must be on Crack!
