I've now decided that I'm taking a break from the world. I'm going OFFLINE!! I'm turning my phone off. Not going on Facebook. Not going on MSN, and not blogging. Vacations have to come to an end so I'll be back on Monday. This trip to Toronto is going to be an awesome get away for myself. I deserve a holiday as much as the next person right? So I'm taking it. Your all amazing.
In the words of a wise man I disliked, but earned a new respect for;
Stay Golden!

How long has it been? Far too long is what really matters here!
So it's been so long since I've posted, and boy things have changed. I don't even know where t begin! SOOO MUCH has gone down since the last post. So as you all know, the blog is Titled "Life of a Computer Systems Technology Student" Well, that's not so true anymore. This is my official notice of amendment to the title. It shall simply be: "Nathan Labatt. Inside and Out!".
To expand on the title change, I was not to recently kicked out of school. Along with, to my knowledge, half a dozen other people! I'm slowly turning to the notion that CST is more of a money grab then an educational program, and if anybody would like to comment on that, please do. I'd love to hear it. The name of the program does not fully give the definition of what the program truly is. After being in the program I would not recommend it to anyone that actually wants to learn about Computers. I also will not be attending the course to finish after my discontinuation period has expired. CST is a sham, and I welcome anyone that would like to challenge that statement.
On another note, I'm back into society, I'm back into working, I'm back into the outdoors. Landscaping is in full swing and work couldn't be better. Absolutely gorgeous to be back outside. I'm happy I moved back to Regina as soon as I did. Things are amazing. Well almost everything. . .
I met someone recently. And I've spent an absolutely amazing time with this kid. I have huge respect for him and I love him more then anything in the world. Even more than singing. And for those of you who know me, know that means something! :P But I just don't know what to do anymore. Indecision and floofy-ness is driving me CRAZY!
I'm going hiking this weekend. So excited to be in Yorkton again for the first time in a long time. Then the next weekend I'm getting sent to Toronto for Scouts! EEEE. First flight ever. So excited. Direct flight, none of this layover crap until the way back :( I get to go to Calgary though! :) Haha. Today I went for lunch with two of my Besties. I LOVE those two ladies more then life itself. They are AMAZING, just sayin. Got to rant about my shitty-ass ex-roommates. Was a good time! ANYWAY,
I'm in a big show that's coming up at the end of May. It runs for 4 nights, and it's a lot of work. 2 hours of entertainment, I'm in pretty much all of it :P CAN'T WAIT, however. I've gotta run off and do some more practicing. YaY for Bass Playing and Singing!!!

Easter Long Weekend. YAY!
So this past weekend was the annual Easter weekend :P Most people around the world observe the crucifixion of Jesus. And I was one of them. I had the privilige of helping out at St. Pete's back home in Regina. They had a FastAThon and after it, they acted out The Passion of the Christ, for the congregation at the Good Friday mass. IT was fun, we hung out all night played some pool, Twister, Quelf. Played some crazy scavenger hunt thing(Not trying to brag, but my team won!)! Then the next morning we went on down to downtown Regina to follow teh stations of the cross through the city. A fun event with lots of people, singing, cross carrying, and crazy old men in the park calling us all Nazi's! I LOL'ed when I heard it :P!
I finally got to meet up with my old friend Megan at Tim Hortons late Friday evening. While there we had our much needed conversations and some good old rant time. Oh Tim Hortons how I love thee, for sheltering us in our time of need :) Amidst the rants and stories, another friend of our's came along and we met a couple new people. Melissa and Shawn showed up, and they had two friends with them, who are Crazy, but cool. Not to mention the one boy looked much better as a baby (Lol, you know what I'm talkin about). One of my very distant relatives Ariel was there, and she was with our mutual friend Kent, and so I did my best to stop and annoy them for a few minutes :P THEY ENJOYED IT!
Oh my goodness! Saturday night was AWESOME. I got to meet a bunch of stellar people. I hung out with my brother's girlfriend and her friends for a little bit. Went to Desi's house and partied like a rockstar there. We then moved over to the Gaslight Saloon. The biker bar in REgina, and what a cool place. IT's super neat inside, and the music was loud, the place was overall awesome. What a good time, I then bumped into my own friends when we got to O'Hanlons, and an old work buddy. We ended up going dancing at O'Hans and it was a blast!
Sunday rolled around, I headed off to church in the morning to sing and work the soundboard. We rocked This Little Light Of Mine at the end of mass and had everybody in the church dancing and singing, and clapping along with the beat. It was a good time. After our lunch, I lounged around at home all day, there was a few people there, being such a nice day. Had some chats, then for supper I had family over again, and my brother cooked lamb. Meh, it was okay I guess, but I'll stick to beef I think. Then that night, I was invited over by a couple different people. Amanda's for a movie, and Arron's for a movie. By the way, 'Strangers with Candy' is hilarious! It was an okay night, but it ended up getting better. I got my proojector all set up in my room, and it was calling for usage :P Arron came over to my house this time, and we watched Precious on the very large screen. We had a sleepover that night, and then I took him home early in the morning, I had work to do.
I was out looking at vehicles trying to find an engine and tranny for my car. Hopefully get it fixed. Well, it seems like there was no luck, perhaps I'll have to try up here in Saskatoon. MY car is not working, my Parents car is not working. I need to find some junk yard parts for it too! I was almost so sick of cars by that point, I was looking at buying a bike. They had a couple at SGI that were up for bids. The weekend came to an end back in Saskatoon chilling in my house. I've got another roommate now. We sleep in the same room, as I offered some space to him. It's pretty cool. Last night it was like 12:15 ish and there was 5 people in our livingroom. And one roommate in bed already. It was nice to hang out and talk to someone. It's like perma-party up in there now! I'm stoked.
The weather has been bloody amazing. I've got my sunglasses, and my flippy floppy's on. If I was on a boat, life would be complete :P LOLOLOLOL! Anyway, I've got a day I should be paying more attention too. Last psot was a week ago. TOO LONG AGO! I'll try and step it up, Yo!

Weekend fun
So last week was a good time. HOWEVER it was followed by a weekend! EEeee! This weekend I got ot go home to Regina for a couple of exciting events. It was soo much fun. Friday night, I watched a movie with Mom and Dad. We watched 'Precious', and it was super good. After that I decided to head to bed after checking my emails, so I could get a good sleep for the next day, it was going to be a long one.
I woke up. A little later then I had wanted to, but I still got up! IT WAS SCOUTING TIME! I headed on down to Victoria Park in the heart of Regina. There was a scout event taking place today, and it was a fun one. I participated in it about 5 years ago when it started and my teammate and I won! Anyway, The Amazing Ad-Venturer Race. Have you seen the amazing race? Pretty much the same deal. Groups of 2 people, get a 'Passport' it contains 8 clues that you must decypher. You also get a map of the city bus system, and a full day bus pass. You are given all day to figure otu the clues, head to the appropriate location, complete the activity at the stop, and acquire an envelope that contains a clue you need to figure out the Final clue, ocne you return to the HQ. It makes for an exciting adventure that requires scouting skills, team work, and some quick thinking.
So the scout event was followed by a vocal workshop. I help out at a church in Regina that puts on a show every year in May, and I help out and participate in the show. This year we are doing a lovely Temptations number, with singing, and dancing. We had a little get together to teach Nathan the choreography because he lives far away :P It was super good, and so much fun. Can't wait for the show in May. Tickets anybody?
AND ON TOP OF THAT, the vening followed with a get together at my house in support of Earth Hour! I invited people to come over to my house and hang out in the dark for a while. We lit candles and had glowsticks glowing. The drinks were pouring, the fire was crackling, and the fun was never ending. Even my older brother who said he wasn't participating came out of his cellar bedroom with a candle and was hanging out with us around the fire. He probably thinks all my friends are nuts, but who cares! We had soo much fun, but alas that night had to come to an end. Sunday followed. I took my bass with me on down to the Cathedral for a World Youth Day Meeting. I'll be travelling to Spain in August 2011, to participate in World Youth Day. It's bound to be a good time. We played some songs, and played some games. Found out I will be acquiring a Projector. No more watching these small movies on the TV. Haha, I'm super pumped!
Home again, and back at classes. Short week this time around. Easter is coming up, and you know what that means. GOOD FOOD AND LOTS OF IT!@ The whole family is coming over to my parents place for some goooood eatin. I hope the weather is nice! It should be! :D
Nothing too exciting for now.

Earth Hour FTW!
So I'm a fan of all the new movements. Free Hugs Campaign, To Write Love On Her Arms, Earth Hour!
Earth Hour this year is March 27th, you can check an earlier post to see more information about it! I've made Facebook events to get people in Saskatchewan involved. And it's working. I've received messages from all over. Today, CBC Saskatoon contacted me. They had a few questions for me on the phone and they want to do a little interview tomorrow morning. I'm rather excited. I get to speak up about something I believe in, and hopefully reach other people. CBC will be coming to interview me at SIAST at 10AM Friday the 26th.
This is just another shout out to Earth Hour. MARCH 27TH, 2010. 8:30PM TO 9:30PM. TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS FOR ONE HOUR FOR EARTH.
And on another note. Karaoke last night, won ANOTHER MARTINI PARTY! Got to meet a bunch of AMAZING people. And hung out with none other then DJ HottBoxxx for a while. AMAZING LADY LET ME TELL YOU!

Linked List FML?
So I had a crazy fun weekend this past one! Friday I went with Sean and Josh, to a drag show, and I got to meet a couple people I'd been talking to online. I was driving so I didn't drink, but I still went and had a blast dancing and singing along with the Queens :P They had a couple new people up there this weekend as well. I think everyone did a superb job!
Saturday, I had this fancy banquet to attend with the Leuitenant Govervor of Saskatchewan! I got to hand out awards, take some pictures, and eat some AMAZING food. I then played around in the Western Development Museum for a little while. I saw the most amazing 1959 Cadillac, I almost stole it! Huge fins out the back, and the first ever bullet style taillights. Gorgeous looking vehicle! After that, I went to go visit Josh again for a bit. We played Wii, and I'd like to say I beat him, but I'd be a liar. I'm terrible at Wii Mario Kart. It was fun :) Theeen, went to Matt's with Sean, Kayla, and Tisha, for pre-drinking. And there was a fair amount of that happening :P We all got in Sean's little car and took a trip on down to Diva's in downtown Saskatoon! I got to say hi to a few more people I've been talking to(/LOVES MEETING NEW PEOPLE). Had a few drinks(YaY!), and danced the night away!
Sunday followed, my parents came up from Regina. I've decided to give up half of my bedroom to a friend who needs a place to stay for the last two months of school. And so I sent a bunch of stuff back home with my parents, and I'm slowly going to be taking more stuff in the car when I go home on weekends. They bought me some food and some other things, and helped me clean and re-arrange my room. The evening came around and I had another Rover meeting to go to. It was good, and informative. I got to see a couple people I haven't seen in a while, and it made me realize just how much I miss them :P Then after that, I went with Sean over to Keith's. Holy Moly he lives far away, and we watched some cracked out drug movie. Pretty sure it was Quentin Tarantino, he makes wierd fricken movies, right?
Monday came around and boy that was a long one. Nothing really exciting happened. ASIDE from watching Undercover Brother with Bryan. And then going to teh carwash with Him and Kristen! Who I then went to Broadway Roastery on 8th, with. We had some delicious drinks, not to mention the super tasty chocolate whip! I saw someone there that I recognized! Eeeee! Was supposed to have someone to hang out with, but that kind of fell through. So I went to bed a little earlier then usual. Even still, waking up was hard this morning. Cold is wearing off, I've been taking Tylenol religiously! Today is going by slowly, but it usually gets better after class. So we'll see how things go a little later today. Hopefully a little bit better then yesterday!

Martini Party for 4?!
Soo, I always say I like singing, and I don't mind doing it in a Big group. I've sang infront of a sold out Center of the Arts (Regina version of TCU Place), with a small group of people, and that was okay.
Do you think I could get myself to sing karaoke to 30 or so people in a bar? I didn't want to sing even one song. Paranoid much? I finally was convinced to sing a song. I Wanna Dance With Somebody - Whitney Houston. Aaand, it WAS A BLAST! I had soo much fun. So, had another drink, well lets get up there and do another song! 9 to 5 - Dolly Parton. I was having SOO much fun! I was getting more and more familiar with the people in the bar, and there was even a couple really cute people there. One in particular though, kind of stood out among the rest. :)
ANYWAY! I kept going. California Dreamin' - Mamma's and the Papa's. Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under - Shania Twain. Talk about crowd response. My friend watching said I had the best crowd response. Making me feel good? I think so! There was people up dancing and having a blast! But It was about time to go, I had school at 8AM, it was getting on midnight. I had a guy come up to me; Who did an amazing Muppets Rendition of Summer Nights - Grease, and he wanted to do a song with me. Angel - Shaggy. I coudn't remember the song, until the music started playing, and then it was all good! I had a blast. I don't want to be the new bar star, but if it means I can sing and entertain other people, I'd love to.
I ended up winning a Martini Party for 4 people! I'm pretty excited. And all sorts of bar swag.
I'm not complaining.
SO this person I mentioned earlier, I also got a name and number from them. I'm pretty excited. I'm pretty sure I'd like to get to know 'em!

P.S. !!!One of my teachers commented on my new shoes today. He wants to see them seeing as he's heard all about them on Facebook! Do you think it's possible that perhaps the teachers of CST are reading LOA-CST-S?? Comment and let me know!!
